Green was innate within Hexham, Northumberland. He is married to model Vanya Seager, and it have a boy, Taylor Robson. Around 1996, he set up an independent production company, Coastal Productions, with business partner Sandra Jobling. A company has since produced or even co-produced virtually all of Green's television operate.

He got the UK number one hit with Jerome Flynn (his co-star in Soldier, Soldier) within 1995 with a version of Unchained Melody, the symptom of a 1-off performance within an episode of the drama. Them later freed many successful singles & albums, completely re-remaking of standards.

Within 2002, Green starred as a forensic psychologist in the crime drama Wire in the Blood.
